Estate Planning

EXPERIENCED ESTATE PLANNING ATTORNEYS

DO NOT LET YOUR HARD WORK IN LIFE GO TO WASTE.

Develop an estate plan and protect the assets you worked your whole life to obtain. A Will is good, but a Trust is better and available to all.

What's Estate Planning?

Estate planning is a legal service that all can use to protect themselves and the people and groups they care about the most. Generally, it's a collection of legal instruments designed to ensure that your intentions and desires are carried out if you become incapacitated, are traveling abroad, or should pass away.

Thus, estate planning gives legal effect to your decisions concerning how you want your property and assets to be distributed, how you wish to pass on to glory, the type of medical care desired, and how to handle other important financial, life, and medical matters.

Estate Planning Tools:

Our estate planning lawyers can advise you on how best to create your unique estate plan based on the specifics of your needs and objectives. Every estate plan is different due to a variety of issues that may be involved.

Estate plans may include:

  • Wills specify how your assets are to be distributed to your beneficiaries. Wills must be probated in court which adds additional costs and time for beneficiaries.

  • Living wills / Advance Directives, which detail the type of medical interventions and palliative care you wish to have or not have should you become incapacitated and unable to express your decisions.

  • Revocable living trusts, in which you transfer your assets to be held as a separate entity for the benefit of your beneficiaries. Your designated trustees will distribute these assets in the event of your passing. Advantages include avoiding probate and having a successor trustee take over should you become incapacitated.

  • Durable Powers of Attorney, in which you authorize someone to handle your financial and/or other personal affairs. This authorization continues should you become incapacitated.

  • Healthcare Powers of Attorney, in which you authorize another to make medical decisions for you should you become incapacitated.

  • Other trusts, such as special needs trusts, minors’ trusts, testamentary trusts, life insurance trusts, and more.

Our team is first and foremost a counselor for your best interests.
